Computers
Junior - Intermediate

The World of Computers introduces the computer as a tool used for the storage and manipulation of information and goes on to trace the historical development of the computer, and explore the many different ways and settings in which computers are used today. The program concludes with a look at both the positive and negative effects of computer development, and their implications for the future.

How Computers Work provides simple explanations of the basic principles of computer technology. Beginning with an exploration of the main parts of the computer and the various forms they take, this part then looks inside the computer to introduce the idea of electronic coding as the basis for all computer operations. It concludes with a discussion of the concept of programming.
