Paper Molas

This program explores the process of creating molas with colored paper. Traditionally, molas have been made in fabric by the Kuna people of Panama. Peggy Flores demonstrates how to make colored paper molas starting with drawing the subject and the cutting of the layers of paper which are glued together allowing each layer of colour to show through completing the decorative mola.
